MANILA, Philippines – Iniimbestigahan ng Office of the Ombudsman ang hindi bababa sa 26 na miyembro ng House of Representatives dahil sa umano’y pagkakasangkot sa mga anomalya sa mga government infrastructure projects.
Ayon kay Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano, nakuha na ng kanilang tanggapan ang Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) ng mga kongresista matapos sumunod ang Kamara sa subpoena.
“We also ask for the SALN of the members of Congress… Meron na pong compliance ang Congress sa mga SALN na hinihingi namin,” ani Clavano.
Dagdag niya, bahagi ito ng mas malawak na imbestigasyon sa umano’y “scheme” sa infrastructure projects na hindi lang limitado sa flood control projects.
“It is a scheme involving infrastructure projects,” aniya.
Tiniyak din ng Ombudsman na tututukan nila ang mga kasong may kinalaman sa korapsyon.
“We’ll never neglect our duty. This is the best time to curb corruption. We cannot let this opportunity pass,” dagdag ni Clavano.
Ayon sa Ombudsman, tatlong batch na ng kaso ang naihain kaugnay ng flood control probe simula noong Setyembre 2025:
Graft at malversation laban kay dating Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co at iba pa kaugnay ng P289M substandard road dike project sa Oriental Mindoro;
Kaso laban sa contractor Sarah Discaya at iba pa sa P96.5M umano’y ghost flood control project sa Davao Occidental;
Kaso laban kay dating Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., dating DPWH official Brice Hernandez at iba pa sa P92.8M ghost flood control project sa Pandi, Bulacan.
