MANILA, Philippines – Inihayag ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na handa itong humarap sa House Committee on Justice hearing sa Abril 29 kaugnay ng impeachment complaints laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, partikular sa umano’y pagbabanta niya kina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Ayon kay NBI Director Melvin Matibag, “the National Bureau of Investigation at that time conducted an investigation on that matter, sa threats na ginawa ni VP Sara kay Presidente Bongbong, kay First Lady at kay speaker po, including po ‘yung mga digital po, ‘yung pronouncement po na nasa social media, tiningnan po ‘yan.”
Dagdag pa niya, “Well lahat lahat naman na pumapasok sa NBI na threat or anything to anyone not only the President or any official sa lahat po, pag pumasok po iimbestigahan po namin, hindi lang po motu proprio.”
Sinabi rin ni Matibag na nakapagsampa na ng kaso ang NBI sa Department of Justice (DOJ) at batay sa imbestigasyon, may nakitang posibleng paglabag tulad ng grave threats at inciting to sedition.
“Well, unang una nga po, we filed a case sa National Prosecution Service sa DOJ… there was really a violation of the Revised Penal Code: there’s Grave Threats and Inciting to Sedition pumasok rin po.”
Ayon sa NBI, dadalhin nila sa Kongreso ang mga dokumento at video na na-authenticate na upang suportahan ang kanilang imbestigasyon.
Sinabi rin ng ahensya na patuloy pa rin nilang iniimbestigahan ang mga ulat at social media posts kaugnay ng mga banta, kabilang ang iba pang detalye na lumabas sa reklamo at counter-affidavit ni Duterte. RNT/MND
