MANILA, Philippines – Itinuro ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. ang pagbaba sa crime incidents dahil sa “institutionalized reforms” ng ahensya.
Ang focus crime incidents ay bumaba ng 16 percent mula sa 4,495 kaso mula Pebrero 22 hanggang Abril 5, mas mababa sa 3,776 kaso mula Abril 6 hanggang Mayo 18, ayon kay Nartatez.
“This 16-percent drop is not a temporary dip but the direct result of institutionalized reforms, data-driven deployments, and strict resource accountability,” giit ni Nartatez.
“We are ensuring sustainability by maximizing our logistics so that funding directly serves police operations and keeps boots on the ground where they are needed most,” dagdag pa niya.
Patuloy na inaatasan ang pulisya na pabilisin ang response operations, pataasin ang patrol presence at makipagtulungan sa komunidad sa pagpapanatili ng disiplina sa kanilang mga ranggo.
Samantala, sa hiwalay na pahayag nitong Martes, Mayo 26, sinabi ng PNP na naaresto ng Anti-Cybercrime Group ang nasa 32 indibidwal dahil sa mga libel case mula Enero 1 hanggang Mayo 15.
“These efforts are part of the continuing campaign against violations of Section 4(c)(4) of Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012,” paliwanag ng PNP. RNT/JGC
