MANILA, Philippines – Ikinokonsidera ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang pag-aalok ng pabuya sa makakapagbigay ng impormasyon sa ikaaaresto ni Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
“Puwede, considering that, but apparently it’s not effective yet,” sinabi ni DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla sa isang ambush interview.
Ani Remulla, nagpapatuloy ang police operations sa buong bansa para matunton si Dela Rosa.
“We have 7,467 islands. We have 225,000 policemen. We’re disposing of all our resources para mahanap siya. You have to understand hindi madali ito. We have 40,000 plus barangays to search,” aniya.
“There are always leads. But nine out of 10, the leads naman are just leads. Just be patient,” dagdag ni Remulla.
Umapela si Remulla kay Dela Rosa na boluntaryong sumuko at siniguro na igagalang ang karapatan nito.
“Please surrender. Gagalangin ka namin. Your rights will be observed. But, huwag na natin patagalin ito kasi baka umuwi pa ito sa hindi mo gusto,” aniya.
“So mabuti na mag-surrender ka na. We will treat you as an officer and a gentleman and we will follow all due process para sayo,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
Nang tanungin kung nagsagawa ang pulisya ng operasyon sa ancestral house ni Dela Rosa sa Davao del Sur, sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. na lahat ng posibleng puntahan ng senador ay titingnan.
“Titignan natin lahat ng mga whereabouts, known address, as well as yung the usual na pinupunta niya. And so, including the address where his firearms are located,” ani Nartatez.
“Nakipag-negotiate tayo for them to turn in the firearms,” dagdag pa niya.
Nauna nang kinumpirma ng International Criminal Court (ICC) na nag-isyu ng arrest warrant ang tribunal laban kay Dela Rosa kaugnay sa mga pagpatay sa ilalim ng war on drugs. RNT/JGC
