DAVAO CITY — Pinatawad ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa Davao Region ang mahigit P509.6 milyong utang sa amortisasyon ng lupa, interes at surcharge ng mahigit 8,500 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) sa ilalim ng New Agrarian Emancipation Act.
Sa ginanap na DAR Stakeholders’ Forum sa Tagum City noong Hunyo 3, tumanggap ang mga benepisyaryo mula sa Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro at Davao Oriental ng 132 electronic land titles (e-Titles), 5,473 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (CoCRoMs), at P4.1 milyong halaga ng mga makinaryang pansakahan.
Ayon kay DAR-11 Regional Director Joseph Orilla, layunin ng programa na direktang maihatid sa mga komunidad ng magsasaka ang mga serbisyong makatutulong sa pagpapalago ng produksyon at kabuhayan.
Nabuo ang 132 e-Titles mula sa 21 Collective Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CCLOAs) sa Davao del Norte na sumasaklaw sa 114 ektarya ng lupa at nagbibigay ng katiyakan sa pagmamay-ari ng 2,882 benepisyaryo.
“A total of 5,473 CoCRoMs covering 22,139.15 hectares across three provinces completely freed 8,548 ARBs from historical land debts so they can reinvest in their farms,” ani Orilla.
Kasama sa ipinamahaging kagamitan sa pagsasaka ang rice combine harvester, hand tractors, three-wheel pickup vehicle at isang 38-horsepower tractor.
Binigyang-diin naman ni DAR Undersecretary Amihilda Sangcopan ang patuloy na pagtulong ng ahensya sa mga magsasaka.
“We are ready to serve, listen, and deliver services that will truly help our farmers,” aniya.
Ayon kay Mark Joseph Motos ng Davao de Oro, malaking ginhawa ang pagkakansela ng kanilang utang.
“This is a great help to our cooperative and our families. Now, we can focus more on improving our farm because we no longer have debts to pay,” sabi niya.
Nagpasalamat din si Eduardo Gomez, 65-anyos mula sa Davao del Norte, matapos mapatawad ang kanyang P92,641 utang sa amortisasyon ng lupa.
“The debt condonation has lifted a heavy burden from my family and given us a fresh opportunity to rebuild our livelihood,” aniya.
Samantala, sinabi ni Nolie Biol, 62, na lalo pang tumibay ang seguridad ng kanilang pamilya matapos niyang matanggap ang sariling titulo ng lupa makalipas ang 32 taon.
