THE National Housing Authority (NHA) under the stewardship of General Manager Joeben Tai with his equally competent and dedicated Assistant GM Alvin Feliciano, the poor people would end up winners as they continue to get support, in all forms, from the agency.

Just last week, some P64-million worth of cash assistance was extended to 2,134 families affected by the May 23, 2026 Parola, Tondo, Manila fire through NHA’s Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP).

Under EHAP, each family received P30,000 in financial assistance. The beneficiary-families were among those affected by the massive fire incident that struck the Parola compound.

GM Tai has assured the affected families that the NHA remains steadfast in delivering immediate assistance and responsive housing interventions to communities affected by calamities and disasters.

EHAP is one of NHA’s assistance programs designed to provide financial aid to families affected by disasters such as fire, floods, earthquakes, and other calamities, enabling them to begin rebuilding their homes and recovering from the impact of these incidents.

NHA’s 42nd People Caravan

AGM Feliciano, who represented GM Tai, led the agency’s 42nd People’s Caravan in Naic, Cavite where over 3,500 housing beneficiaries hailing from nearby NHA resettlement communities benefited from the initiative.

Launched by Tai, the caravan aims to effectively bring various government services – such as medical, scholarships, jobs, affordable agricultural products, free legal guidance – to housing beneficiary families.

The participants seized the opportunity to avail the services and goods offered by the NHA’s 40 partner-agencies from both the public and private sectors.

Attendees were also accommodated with various business-related services, such as business name registration and MSME program orientations from the Department of Trade and Industry; an information drive about TUPAD, DILP/Kabuhayan, SPES, and career coaching from the Department of Labor and Employment.

They also benefit from the conduct of basic orientation on cooperative formation from the Cooperative Development Authority and provision of technical assistance to entrepreneurs from the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer.

The NHA is set to conduct its 43rd People’s Caravan on June 11 in Tala, Caloocan City.
