MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Department of Energy (DOE) na kasalukuyan nitong inaalam ang epekto ng magnitude 7.8 na lindol sa Mindanao sa mga kritikal na pasilidad ng kuryente.
Ayon sa ahensya, nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa mga electric cooperatives, distribution utilities, at mga stakeholder sa oil industry upang matukoy ang lawak ng pinsala.
“The DOE is currently consolidating reports on the condition of power lines, substations, distribution facilities, fuel depots, retail stations, and other energy infrastructure to determine whether any facilities have been affected,” ayon sa DOE.
Samantala, iniulat ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) na may ilang transmission lines na naapektuhan na nagsusuplay ng kuryente sa ilang bahagi ng Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sarangani, South Cotabato, North Cotabato, at Sultan Kudarat.
Ayon sa NGCP, naibalik na ang transmission services sa Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro, at Davao Oriental noong 8:30 a.m.
“Power transmission services in Northeastern, Northwestern, North Central, and Lanao area remain stable,” dagdag nito. RNT/MND
