MANILA, Philippines – Isolated cases ang dalawang magkahiwalay na insidente ng pananaksak sa loob ng mga paaralan sa Cavite, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Linggo, Hunyo 21.
“The Philippine National Police expresses concern over two separate stabbing incidents reported inside school premises in Cavite on 16 and 19 June 2026. These incidents, which involved learners from different schools, are being treated as isolated cases, pending the results of the ongoing investigation, with due regard for the rights and privacy of all minors involved,” saad sa pahayag ng PNP.
Ang isang insidente ay sangkot ang pitong Grade 5 students na nasaktan kasunod ng pananaksak ng Grade 8 student na may kitchen knife sa paaralan sa Barangay Sta. Clara sa General Trias.
Dahil dito ay inanunsyo ng paaralan ang pansamantalang paglipat sa online classes mula Hunyo 22 hanggang 26 dahil sa insidente.
“This will give us the time needed to carefully prepare and put the necessary measures in place before welcoming our students back to school,” saad sa pahayag ng naturang paaralan.
Nauna nang sinabi ng PNP na palalakasin nito ang police visibility sa mga paaralan at paligid nito, sa probinsya.
“In response, all police units are directed to immediately intensify police visibility and conduct sustained preventive patrols in and around school zones, especially during school opening, recess, and dismissal hours,” ayon pa sa PNP.
“Police Regional Office CALABARZON and the Cavite Police Provincial Office are likewise instructed to ensure strict implementation of these measures within their areas of responsibility,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
