MANILA, Philippines – Iniulat ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na naging matagumpay ang isinagawang simulation exercises para sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections sa tatlong lugar.
Ayon sa Comelec, lahat ng 10 clustered precincts sa Cotabato City, Maguindanao del Norte, at Tawi-Tawi ay nagtala ng 100% tagumpay, kung saan lahat ng boto ay nabilang at matagumpay na naipadala ang resulta ng mga automated counting machine. Lumahok din sa simulation ang mga aktuwal na botante.
Pinangunahan nina Comelec chairperson George Garcia at Commisioner Maria Norina Tangaro-Casingal ang pagmamasid sa isinagawang simulation ng automated election system na gagamitin sa halalan sa Setyembre 14.
Ayon kay Garcia, naging maayos din ang paghahain ng kandidatura noong Mayo 5 hanggang 7.
“I am happy with our preparations for the Bangsamoro [Parliamentary] Election because, from May 5 to 7, when we conducted filing of candidacy, it was very peaceful. This is the first time in the Bangsamoro that there was no untoward incident, no violence. The PNP and AFP are telling us that we are in full control of the situation,” aniya.
Dagdag pa niya, ito rin ang unang halalan sa Bangsamoro na may larawan ng mga kandidato at logo ng mga partido sa balota.
Tiniyak din ni Garcia na tuloy ang halalan sa Setyembre 14.
“Currently, we don’t have a TRO (temporary restraining order) from the Supreme Court. There is no law postponing the Bangsamoro [Parliamentary Election]. For us, the September 14 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Election will be conducted,” aniya. RNT/MDS
