MANILA, Philippines – Binunot ng mga operatiba mula sa Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 (Caraga), kasama ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Philippine Army, ang nasa 23,431 fully grown marijuana plants nitong Sabado, Hulyo 4, sa liblib na Barangay Kasapa 1, Loreto, Agusan del Sur.
Sa report nitong Lunes, Hulyo 6, sinabi ng PRO-13 na ang binunot nilang mga tanim na marijuana ay may street-level price na P6 milyon.
“The uprooted marijuana plants were found inside a 16,000 square-meter plantation in the area, a geographically isolated place about 207 kilometers from the municipal police station of Loreto,” sinabi ni PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV.
Idinagdag pa na walang naarestong suspek sa operasyon ngunit natukoy na ang mga nasa likod ng tanim na marijuana.
“Samples of the fully grown marijuana plants were collected and marked for laboratory examination while the remaining marijuana stocks were destroyed on-site by burning, which was witnessed by a barangay official of Kasapa 1,” ani Magistrado.
Hinikayat din niya ang publiko na maging alerto at suportahan ang mga awtoridad sa pagsugpo sa anumang uri ng kriminalidad. RNT/JGC
