MANILA, Philippines – Pormal nang sinimulan ng Kamara ang deliberasyon para sa panukalang ₱7.2-trillion 2027 National Expenditure Program.
Sinimulan ng House Committee on Appropriations ang sesyon sa pamamagitan ng isang briefing kasama ang Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) upang talakayin ang mga pinagmumulan ng pondo, lebel ng gastusin, at alokasyon para sa ibat ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan.
Kasama ni House Speaker Faustino Dy III sa briefing sina House Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Rep. Mikaela Angela Suansing, Senior Deputy Speaker Ferdinand Hernandez, Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos, at iba pang lider ng Kamara.
Ayon kay Suansing, nakalivestream an mga pagdinig ng komite pati na rin ang mga sesyon ng Budget Amendments Review Subcommittee (BARC).
Batay sa iskedyul, hanggang Setyembre 8 ang deliberasyon sa komite bago dalhin sa plenaryo. Target ng Kamara na maaprubahan ang General Appropriations Bill sa ikatlo at pinal na pagbasa sa Oktubre 9.
Matapos ang briefing ng DBCC ay sasalang naman sa Agosto 18, ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation at Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office at sa mga susunud na pagdinig ay ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Justice, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of National Defense, Office of the Ombudsman, Commission on Audit, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Migrant Workers at iba pang ahensya.
Sa Setyembre 1 ay sasalang ang Department of Agriculture at National Irrigation Administration; Setyembre 2, Department of Health at mga ahensya sa ilalim ng sektor ng enerhiy; Setyenmbre 3, Department of Transportation, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Tourism, at Commission on Human Rights; sa Setembre 7 ay Department of Education, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Judiciary, at Department of Foreign Affairs habang sa Setyembre 8 ay Department of Social Welfare and Development at Department of Labor and Employment
Sa ilalim ng National Expenditure Program (NEP) nakakuha ng pinakamalaking bahagi ang sektor ng edukasyon na may P976 bilyon budget allocation; DPWH, P644 bilyon; health sector P353.8 bilyon; DILG, P332.5 bilyon; Defense, P328.8 bilyon.
Kasama rin sa mga malalaking alokasyon ang transportation sector (P302.2 bilyon), agriculture (P261.7 bilyon), at ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (P241.6 bilyon). Gail Mendoza
