Pero sa pagkakataong ito’y may mahalagang mensahe ang King of Christmas Carols.
May panawagan si Jose Mari na kung maaari’y tulungan ang mga biktima ng malawakang pagbaha nitong mga nagdaang araw.
Para pasayahin muna tayo, kinanta niya ang classic song na Christmas in Our Hearts na napanood sa Unang Hirit.
Asked about his message, simple lang ang kanyang tugon: “God has blessed us with enough property and wealth. We should help those who are in need. There are so many Filipino brothers and sisters out there who need help.
“We should always reach out and help them.”
The 81-year-old singer considers his songs a blessing para mapalaganap ang Christmas spirit sa bansa: “It’s God’s gift to me. God’s gift of love, family and music.
“Because of my songs, the Christmas spirit is brought into the country.”
Despite life adversities, dapat ay patuloy nating ipagdiwang ang Pasko bilang isang family occasion.
