MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 9 ang pagkakatalaga kay Atty. Paolo Panelo bilang bagong spokesperson ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
“In this capacity, Atty. Paolo will serve as the official point of communication, representing the views and positions of the Vice President and engaging with the media and public on relevant matters,” ayon sa OVP.
Sinabi rin na inaasahan na gagawin ni Panelo na ang “important information more accessible, clear, and easier for the public to understand.”
Ang huling tagapagsalita ng OVP ay si Atty. Ruth Castelo.
Bago maitalaga bilang spokesperon ni Duterte, si Panelo ay nagsilbing legal counsel para sa Bise Presidente kaugnay sa multiple perjury complaints laban sa kanya.
Si Panelo ay anak ni Atty. Salvador Panelo na nagsilbi namang spokesperson at chief presidential legal counsel ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. RNT/JGC
