MANILA, Philippines – Kinansela ng Supreme Court (SC) ang trabaho sa lahat ng korte sa bansa simula alas-1 ng hapon sa Setyembre 28 bilang paggunita sa National Family Week.
Sa ilalim ng Proclamation No. 326, idineklarang “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day ang ikaapat na Lunes ng Setyembre bawat taon.
Una nang naglabas ang Office of the President ng Memorandum Circular No. 136 na nagkansela ng trabaho sa Executive branch, kabilang ang GOCCs at state universities and colleges, simula alas-1 ng hapon sa nasabing araw.
Kasunod nito, sinuspinde rin ng SC ang trabaho sa lahat ng appellate courts, trial courts at Shari’ah courts sa buong bansa. Inilabas ni Acting Chief Justice at Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen ang memorandum noong Setyembre 25.
Gayunman, mananatili ang skeletal workforce para sa mahahalagang frontline services at agarang legal na usapin tulad ng bail, release orders, warrants kabilang ang cyber warrants, writs of habeas corpus at writs of Amparo.
Ayon kay Leonen, “The bonds of intimacy and family in all its forms provide a strong foundation for personhood which shapes our sensitivity to our humanity and our participation as sovereigns. All justices, judges and court personnel are encouraged to take advantage of this time off to rekindle these foundational bonds. Nurturing true love empowers.”
