MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan ng Senate impeachment court nitong Huwebes ang kahilingan ng House prosecution panel na magpalabas ng subpoena sa ilang kinatawan ng bangko at insurance companies, kabilang sa Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) para sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Hiniling ito matapos ihayag ni lead prosecutor at Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro na hindi na ihaharap si dating Senador Antonio Trillanes IV bilang testigo sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Inihayag din ng prosecution na ihaharap din sa impeachment court si Anti–Money Laundering Council (AMLC) Executive Director Atty. Ronel Buenaventura sa Biyernes.
“To continue, for Monday, Oct. 5, we will be presenting the BIR, and for Tuesday, Oct. 6, we will be presenting the representatives of banks and insurance companies,” ani Luistro.
“And it is in this light your honor that we respectfully reiterate our request for subpoena to the BIR, as well as representatives of banks and insurance companies,” dagdag ni Luistro.
Base sa kahilingan ng prosecution kabilang sa ipinatatawag sa impeachment court ang kinatawan ng bawat sumusunod:
