MANILA, Philippines – Inimbitahan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) si Davao City Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte para magbigay ng kanyang mga komento at nalalaman sa mga alegasyon ni dismissed policeman Rodulfo Gracioso.
“The Bureau expressed its compliments to the lawmaker and requested his presence to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the inquiry. The NBI emphasized that Rep. Duterte’s insights would significantly support the agency in ensuring a fair, thorough, and impartial process,” sinabi ng NBI sa media advisory.
Matatandaan na inakusahan ni Gracioso ang congressman ng Davao, kapatid nitong si Vice President Sara Duterte, at ama nitong si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pagtanggap ng mga bag ng cash mula kay dating House speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
Sinabi ng NBI na pinadalhan si Paolo Duterte ng imbitasyon ni NBI Director Melvin Matibag sa liham na may petsang Oktubre 5.
Pinadalhan din si Duterte ng kopya ng sworn affidavit ni Gracioso.
Itinakda ng NBI ang miting kasama ang mambabatas sa Oktubre 12.
“The Bureau noted that Rep. Duterte may be accompanied by legal counsel or designated representatives. He is also invited to present relevant documents, records, or statements that may assist in clarifying the issues under review,” sinabi ng NBI.
