MANILA, Philippines – Nag-isyu ng panalangin ang Commission on Worship ng Archdiocese of Cebu para sa mga pamilya na bibisita sa mga sementeryo sa paparating na Undas.
“This order is a solemn commemoration of the departed whose bodies lie in a cemetery. It may be used for All Souls’ Day, Memorial Day, on the anniversary of the death or burial of a particular deceased person, or when a gravestone or cemetery monument is erected,” saad sa social media post ng komisyon.
Maaari ring sambitin ang panalangin ng indibidwal kung bibisita sa libingan ng kaanak o kaibigan na susundan ng misa.
Ang lider para sa panalangin ay maaaring isang deacon, pari, lay minister, o miyembro ng pamilya.
Hinikayat din ang mga tao na dumalo sa offer Mass para sa mga namayapa.
Tuwing Nobyembre 2 ay ginugunita ng mga Katoliko ang All Soul’s Day o pag-alala sa mga namayapa.
Ayon kay Fr. Ritche Salgado OCarm, “is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude and love for our loved ones who went ahead of us.”
“We don’t just remember them, but we pray for them, in our desire to help them to fully enter into God’s presence, believing that when we die we still have traces of imperfection because of the sins and regrets that we carry with us,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
