MANILA, Philippines – Si Vice President Sara Duterte ang pinakamainam na ebidensya laban sa kanyang sarili, ayon kay private prosecutor Lorna Kapunan nitong Biyernes, Nobyembre 6.
Ito ang tugon ni Kapunan nang tanuning kung ang pagtayo ni Duterte sa witness stand ay magbibigay-daan para masagot nito ang mga impeachable allegations laban sa kanya.
“If the Vice President appears before the impeachment court, she will be the best evidence against herself due to her demeanor, the way she answers. Remember, when she was summoned in House [hearings], she refused to take an oath. Would she even take an oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?” sinabi ni Kapunan.
“The only one she can blame is herself. She gave evidence against herself by declaring her in her SALN interest in these companies,” dagdag pa.
Ang tinutukoy nito ay ang declared assets ni Duterte katulad ng Metro City Chow Foods Corp. and GenCorp. Foods Industries Inc. kung saan hindi nag-divest si Duterte kahit ipinagbabawal ng Konstitusyon.
