MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla nitong Biyernes, Nobyembre 6 na magsasampa siya ng reklamo laban sa mga vlogger at Facebook page na nagpakalat ng maling impormasyon tungkol sa kanyang kalusugan at sa kaso ni dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Ani Remulla, ang Office of the Ombudsman ay maghahain ng reklamo sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) at Facebook.
“People are trying to create doubt about the office or maybe even the state of my health, and I think this has to stop. We are filing a complaint with the DICT and Facebook to stop the proliferation of fake news. Obviously, it is meant to influence people so that they will have doubt on this government and this office,” sinabi ni Remulla.
Halimbawa, ani Remulla, ang vlog na nagpakalat ng content sa kaso ni Romualdez sa Sandiganbayan na “should not be discussed online.”
“They’re trying to influence public opinion about what’s happening in the court in the form of fake news… They’re trying to deceive people by having all these social media articles that actually do not reflect the truth or the full truth,” idinetalye nito.
Aniya, ang content ng mga vlogger ay “propaganda” at layong paniwalain ang mga tao na maaaring piyansahan si Romualdez.
Si Romualdez ay nahaharap sa reklamong plunder sa P7.44 bilyon sa umano’y kickback sa infrastructure projects ng pamahalaan na isang non-bailable offense.
