MANILA, Philippines- Binatikos ni House Assistant Majority Leader at Zambales Rep. Jefferson si Vice President Sara Duterte sa pagpapalabas nito ng umano’y maling akusasyon ukol sa medical emergency ng kanyang Chief of Staff na si Zuleika Lopez na layunin ay siraan umano ang Kamara.
“The Vice President’s narrative of delayed medical response is completely false and an insult to the personnel who acted swiftly and professionally to ensure Atty. Lopez’s safety” pahayag ni Khonghun.
Batay sa inilabas na timeline ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, sinabi ni Khonghun na nagpakita ng sintomas ng emergency si Lopez alas-2:29 ng umaga noong Sabado at pinapasok ang kanyang doktor alas-2:35 ng umaga.
Alas-3:08 ng umaga ay papunta na umano ito sa Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).
“Every step was handled with urgency and care,” giit ni Khonghun.
Inakusahan ni Khonghun si Duterte na ginagamit ang insidente upang ilihis ang atensyon ng publiko mula sa kanyang ginawang pagharap sa pagpapatupad ng legal na utos na ilipat si Lopez sa Correctional Institute for Women sa Mandaluyong City.
“The Vice President blocked a legal order, staged a press conference, and now blames the House. This is blatant misdirection,” ani Khonghun.
Sinabi ni Khonghun na binigyang prayoridad ng Kamara ang kalusugan ni Lopez kaya sa VMMC ito dinala sa halip na ideretso sa kulungan.
“The House acted responsibly and compassionately. It’s VP Duterte who must explain her actions, including obstructing justice and politicizing this issue,” pagtatapos pa pa ni Khonghun. Gail Mendoza
