MANILA, Philippines – Hindi makakadalo si dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo sa huling pagdinig ng Senado kaugnay sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) ngayong araw, Nobyembre 26 dahil siya ay dadalo rin sa pagdinig ng korte sa Pasig City.
“Yes. Pasig (court) for bail hearing,” sinabi ng abogado ni Guo na si Atty. Nicole Jamilla.
Ayon kay Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Bustinera, hindi pinayagan ng korte ang hiling ng Senate committee na dumalo si Guo sa pagdinig ng panel.
“Yes po. The Court did not grant the Order to attend the Committee hearing as there is conflict of schedule with the Court Hearing of RTC 167 Pasig,” sinabi naman ni Bustinera.
Sa court order, sinabi na ang hiling ng Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality na payagan si Guo at iba pang akusado na dumalo sa Senate hearing ay “cannot be granted considering that there is a scheduled hearing on 26 November 2024 at 8:30 o’clock in the morning concerning the cases to which these accused are charged with.”
Si Guo ay nahaharap sa qualified human trafficking case sa Pasig court at graft case sa
Valenzuela City court dahil sa umano’y kaugnayan sa illegal na mga aktibidad sa POGO hub sa Bamban.
Nahaharap din ito sa tax evasion complaint, 87 counts ng money laundering, perjury at falsification complaint sa Justice Department. RNT/JGC
