MANILA, Philippines – Maaaring humingi ng protective custody si Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa kung susuko, ayon kay Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. nitong Biyernes, Mayo 22.
“That’s possible. Seeking protective custody means that one is surrendering,” sinabi ni Nartatez nang tanungin kung maaaring ilagay sa kustodiya ng PNP si Dela Rosa.
“If by all peaceful means he will surrender, yield himself, then that would be better.”
Inatasan na ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang Philippine National Police at National Bureau of Investigation na isilbi ang arrest warrant mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC) kaugnay sa partisipasyon sa madugong war on drugs ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. RNT/JGC
