MANILA, Philippines – Nagbitiw na sa pwesto bilang prosecutor general ng National Prosecution Service sa ilalim ng Department of Justice, si Benedicto Malcontento.
Sa liham kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na may petsang Oktubre 16, sinabi ni Malcontento na ang kanyang pagbibitiw ay ‘effective immediately’ sa dahilan na upang “pursue other endeavors.”
“I have served the National Prosecution Service, Department of Justice for the last five (5) years,” ani Malcontento.
“It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve NPS-DOJ,” dagdag pa niya.
Si Malcontento ay itinalaga ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong 2019. RNT/JGC
