MANILA, Philippines – Nagtigil operasyon ang ilang paliparan kabilang ang Virac Airport at Bicol International Airport dahil sa Super Typhoon Uwan, ayon sa Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) nitong Linggo, Nobyembre 9.

Sa abiso, sinabi ng CAAP na nakataas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 5 sa Virac, Catanduanes.

“Aerodrome operations are suspended for safety reasons. All airport personnel are on standby and monitoring for possible resumption of operations once weather conditions improve,” ayon sa CAAP.

“No stranded passengers have been reported,” dagdag pa.

“Aerodrome operations remain suspended due to prevailing adverse weather conditions.”

“A total of four stranded passengers have been accommodated since 08 November 2025 (Saturday),” dagdag pa.

Naka-red alert status naman ang Naga Airport sa Pili, Camarines Sur kung saan nakataas ang TCWS No. 4.

“Heavy rains and strong winds are being experienced within the airport vicinity. All security personnel are on red alert status,” ayon pa sa ahensya.

“The airport has accommodated one family of evacuees at the [Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Station], one family together with nine personnel from the 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, who are providing logistical and security support from PDRRMC, at the Passenger Terminal Building (Arrival Area),” dagdag pa.

Samantala, wala ring nakatakdang flight operations sa Masbate Airport ngayong Linggo dahil sa masamang panahon.

Wala pa namang iniuulat na pinsala sa pasilidad at mga kagamitan dahil sa bagyo. RNT/JGC
