MANILA, Philippines – Kasalukuyan nang iniimbestigahan ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ang burger blowout promo ng isang fast-food chain na umano’y tila AI-generated ang pangalan ng mga nanalo.
Matatandaan na binatikos ng mga netizen ang listahan ng mga nanalo sa week 3 ng raffle draw ng Jollibee.
Kabilang sa mga kinwestyon ay ang mga pangalan na “Bonita Gulgowski,” “Albert Goldner,” at “Norbert Pfannerstill” na umano’y halatang peke o artificial intelligence (AI)-generated.
Sa pahayag nitong Sabado, Agosto 16, sinabi ng DTI na nakikipag-ugnayan na sila sa fast food chain kaugnay ng kontrobersyal na promo.
“We have requested relevant documents, including the list of valid entries and the mechanics used, to ensure a thorough review,” saad sa pahayag ng DTI.
“Pending the outcome of the investigation, all further raffle promotions related to this matter are postponed. The public will be informed of any developments as they arise,” dagdag pa.
Siniguro ng ahensya sa publiko na sisiguruhin nito sa mga customer na ang mga promotional activities ay “fair and transparent.”
Nitong Biyernes, naglabas na ng pahayag ang Jollibee at sinabing sinusuri na rin nila ang isyu at nakikipagtulungan sa DTI “with whom we have been actively coordinating throughout the course of this promotion.”
“We will be temporarily postponing succeeding raffle draws. Please be assured that this will not affect previously declared legitimate winners, and we remain committed to ensuring that only valid entries are considered for raffle draws,” ayon sa Jollibee.
Nagpaalala rin ang kompanya sa publiko na “refrain from purchasing tickets to the show [related to the promo] from unauthorized sources, as these are not for sale.” RNT/JGC
