MANILA, Philippines – Nagbuga na naman ng abo ang Bulkang Kanlaon nitong Sabado, Nobyembre 2, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
“The lapse footage of gray ash being entrained or brought out by continuous degassing from the Kanlaon Volcano summit crater,” saad sa pahayag ng PHIVOLCS.
Anang PHIVOLCS, ang “ashing” event ay naitala 11:49 ng umaga hanggang 12:02 ng tanghali.
Wala namang naitalang detectable seismic o infrasound signals.
“The events generated light-gray plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater before drifting south Recorded by the Canlaon City Observation station IP Camera.”
Samantala, batay sa bulletin sa Bulkang Kanlaon, naitala ang 31 volcanic earthquakes mula Nobyembre 1 hanggang Nobyembre 2.
Nagbuga rin ito ng 6,993 tons ng sulfur dioxide.
Nananatili ang Alert Level 2 ng Bulkang Kanlaon na nangangahulugan ng “increased unrest.” RNT/JGC
