MANILA, Philippines – Nakapagtala ng minor phreatomagmatic eruption ang Bulkang Taal nitong Lunes ng umaga, Oktubre 20, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Sa Facebook post, sinabi ng PHIVOLCS na ang minor phreatomagmatic eruption ay nangyari mula alas-6:13 ng umaga hanggang 6:14 ng umaga.
“Time-lapse footage of minor phreatomagmatic eruption at the main crater of Taal Volcano that occurred at 06:13 AM to 06:14 AM, today (20 October 2025),” sinabi ng PHIVOLCS.
“This event generated plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater as recorded by the Main Crater IP Camera,” dagdag pa.
Ang phreatomagmatic eruptions ay dulot ng paghalo ng magma at tubig.
Kasalukuyang nakataas ang Alert Level 1 na babala sa Bulkang Taal. RNT/JGC
