MANILA, Philippines – Nagbuga ng abo ang Bulkang Kanlaon nitong Lunes ng umaga, Oktubre 20, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Sa Facebook post, sinabi ng ahensya na nagbuga ng abo ang bulkan bandang 7:28 ng umaga hanggang 7:38 ng umaga.
“Time-lapse footage of ash emission at the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano that occurred at 07:28 AM to 07:38 AM, today (20 October 2025),” ayon sa PHIVOLCS.
“This event generated grayish plumes that rose up to 300 meters above the crater before drifting to the west as recorded by the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory – Canlaon City (KVO-CC) IP Camera,” dagdag pa.
Samantala, naitala naman ang ikalawang ash emission bandang 9:20 ng umaga.
“Time-lapse footage of an ongoing ash emission at the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano that occurred at 09:20 AM, today (20 October 2025)…The ash emission ended at 10:54 AM, 20 October 2025,” sinabi ng ahensya.
“This event generated grayish plumes that rose up to 300 meters above the crater before drifting to the west-northwest as recorded by the IP Camera in Mansalanao, La Castellana (VKMN) station,” dagdag pa.
Nananatili ang Alert Level 2 na babala sa Bulkang Kanlaon. Dahil dito, ipinagbabawal ang pagpasok sa four-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) at pagpapalipad ng eroplano malapit sa bulkan. RNT/JGC
