MANILA, Philippines- Ipinasasampa na sa korte ng Muntinlupa Prosecutors Office ang kasong cyberlibel na ikinasa ng TV host at aktor na si Vic Sotto laban sa kontrobersyal na direktor na si Darryl Yap.
Kaugnay ito sa inilabas na teaser video ni Yap para i-promote ang kanyang pelikulang”The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma”.
Sa anim na pahinang resolusyon ni City Prosecutor Suleen Marie Gutierrez, may sapat na basehan upang ipagharap si Yap ng kasong cyberlibel sa ilalim ng Article 353, 355 ng Revised Penal Code kaugnay sa paglabag sa Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
”Did then and there willfully, unlawfully and feloniously compose, prepare, write, publish and post a teaser video of his film entitled “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma” (TROPP), which showed or aired the following film scenes, to wit: “Charito Solis (played by actress Gina Alajar): Ipaliwanag mo sa akin! Magsabi ka sa akin! Ipaliwanag mo… Dahil hindi ko naiiintindihan! Pepsi sumagot ka! followed immediately by a black motion screen format showing the statement: “NAGSAMPA NG KASONG RAPE SI PEPSI PALOMA LABAN KAY VIC SOTTO NOONG AUGUST 17, 1982”) thus, attributing or ascribing to the latter the commission of the crime of rape against deceased actress Pepsi Paloma.”
Malisyoso umanong ipinalabas ni Yap na isang rapist si Sotto na dahilan para malantad si Sotto sa kahihiyan, galit ng publiko at pagkasira ng kanyang reputasyon.
Iniutos ng piskalya ang piyansa na ₱10,000 para sa pansamantalang paglaya ni Yap. Teresa Tavares
