MANILA, Philippines – Naglunsad ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 11 ng P1 bilyong pondo para sa konstruksyon, rehabilitasyon, repair at pagpapabuti ng green open spaces kabilang ang mga public at municipal parks at plazas, sa 80 LGUs sa buong bansa.
Sa 2024 budget, naglaan ang DBM ng P1.055 billion para sa Local Government Support Fund (LGSF)-Green Green Green Program kung saan makikinabang dito ang 38 lungsod at munisipalidad sa Luzon, 21 sa Visayas at 21 sa Mindanao.
Maaari ring magamit ang programa para sa infrastructure projects ng mga LGU gaya ng bicycle lanes, bike racks, elevated o at-grade pedestrian footpaths, walkways, sports facilities, at recreational trails.
Ang LGSF-Green Green Green Program ay inilunsad ng DBM sa pakikipagtulungan sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
“With the launch of the Green Green Program and today’s inauguration of Roxas Blvd. Promenade Project, we are able to take a huge step towards fulfilling the President’s goal of a Bagong Pilipinas, where every Filipino is committed to the improvement of life in the community, involved in contributing to the maintenance of a healthy ecology, and devoted in providing secure environments that will benefit future generations,” pahayag ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
Sa ilalim ng panuntunan ng DBM, lahat ng mga proyekto na pinondohan sa ilalim ng LGSF-Green Green Green Program ay dapat na mahigpit na sumunod sa katanggap-tanggap na disenyo, environmental principles, at safety requirements.
Inatasan din ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) na imonitor at i-evaluate kung paano ipinatutupad ng mga lokal na pamahalaan ang naturang proyekto. RNT/JGC
