MANILA, Philippines- Walang face-to-face classes sa public schools sa tree-planting day na ikinasa ng Department of Education (DepEd) ngayong linggo.
Kinumpirma ni DepEd Spokesperson and Undersecretary Michael Poa nitong Lunes na supendido ang in-person classes san Dec. 6 (Miyerkules), alinsunod sa DepEd Memorandum No. 69 series of 2023.
“Classes in all DepEd public schools will be on asynchronous mode for this day,” saad sa memo.
Sa memo na inilabas ni Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte, nakalahad ang mga alituntunin para sa implementasyon ng proyektong tinawag na “DepEd’s 236,000 Trees – A Christmas Gift for the Children.”
Bilang kinatawan ni Duterte, nakatakdang bumisita si Poa sa Pasig Elementary School para sa nasabing aktibidad.
Ayon sa DepEd, magsisilbi itong regalo upang matiyak ang “clean and green environment for Filipino children and future generations.”
Sa pakikilahok ng 47,678 public schools, nilalayon ng DepEd na makapagtanim ng mahigit 236,000 puno. RNT/SA
