MANILA, Philippines – Tumangging dumalo sa pagdinig ng Senado ang Germany-based online game developer ng GoreBox na F2 Games at sinabing ito ay hiwalay sa imbestigasyon ng mga awtoridad ng Pilipinas sa posibleng epekto nito sa pamamaril sa paaralan sa Tacloban City.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Senador Risa Hontiveros na nagsabi si F2 Games founder Felix Filip sa Senate committee on women, children, family relations and gender equality na hindi ito makakadalo sa kanilang July 1 hearing ‘in person’ man o virtual.
“As a developer based in Germany, I respectfully declined the invitation to appear at the Senate hearing. That is separate from the investigation itself, which I intend to cooperate with.”
“I want the facts of this established as much as anyone does, and I want to help the Philippine authorities in every way I lawfully can,” dagdag pa ng GoreBox.
“I’ve been in contact with them, and I’d only ask that the investigation be allowed to run its course.”
“Out of respect for the families, I won’t speculate about its causes while it’s ongoing,” giit pa nito.
Hindi naman direktang tinukoy ni Felip kung anong ahensya ng pamahalaan ang nakikipag-ugnayan sa kanila.
Ayon sa Philippine National Police, ang dalawang suspek na edada 14 at 15, sa nangyaring pamamaril sa paaralan sa Tacloban City ay naimpluwensyahan umano ng GoreBox para ikasa ang naturang pag-atake.
Tatlo ang nasawi at 20 ang sugatan sa nangyaring pamamaril.
Ito ang nagtulak sa Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center na pansamantalang ipagbawal ang GoreBox sa Pilipinas. RNT/JGC
