MANILA, Philippines – Nagpasalamat ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa pag-apruba sa pagtataas ng base pay para sa military and uniformed personnel (MUP).
Nitong Miyerkules kasi ay inanunsyo ni Marcos ang pay hike na nagpapataas sa base pay ng MUP ng kabuuang 15% sa tatlong tranch sa Enero 1, 2026; Enero 1, 2027; at Enero 1, 2028.
“We thank the President for recognizing the work and sacrifice of the men and women who protect our communities and uphold peace and order,” saad sa pahayag ng DILG.
“The DILG affirms that this move strengthens the capability and stability of the uniformed services, ensuring that those who safeguard our families can also support their own,” dagdag pa.
Ani Marcos, ang pay hike ay pagkilala sa mga pagsisikap ng mga MUP partikular na sa sunod-sunod na kalamidad sa bansa.
Sakop din ng increase ang mga tauhan mula sa Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), na lahat ay nasa ilalim ng DILG.
Sa hiwalay na pahayag, nagpasalamat din ang BFP kay Marcos.
“This directive, which increases the base pay and subsistence allowance of military and uniformed personnel, is wholeheartedly appreciated by the Fire Bureau,” ayon sa BFP.
“This support is a meaningful recognition of our Filipino firefighters who risk their lives responding to fires and all kinds of disasters,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
