MANILA, Philippines – SINABI ng Malakanyang na magre-request ang Department of Justice (DOJ) sa Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) na magpalabas ng blue notice laban kay Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, isinasangkot sa di umano’y kickbacks mula sa flood control projects at pagsingit sa national budget.
”Latest from DOJ… they will request for blue notice,” ang sinabi ni Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.
Ang blue notice ay paghahanap ng dagdag na impormasyon tungkol sa isang taong may kinalaman sa isang kaso, tulad ng kanilang lokasyon o pagkakakilanlan.
Sa kabilang dako, kinumpirma ni DOJ spokesperson Mico Clavano na magre-request ang DoJ ng blue notice mula sa Interpol laban kay Zaldy Co.
“The SOJ (Secretary of Justice Jesus Crispin Remulla) has already given the instructions to apply for a Blue Notice from the Interpol through our local offices,” ang sinabi ni Clavano.
“This is based on the investigation of the Blue Ribbon Committee as well as the NBI recommendation to prosecute,” aniya pa rin.
Si Zaldy Co ay kasalukuyang nasa labas ng Pilipinas para magpagamot sa Estados Unidos subalit biglang kumalat ang balita na wala na ito sa Amerika. Sinasabing nasa Paris, France na ito kasama ang kanyang asawa na si Mylene Co. Kris Jose
