MANILA, Philippines- Opisyal na idineklara ng state weather bureau PAGASA nitong Miyerkules ang pagsisimula ng dry season sa pagwawakas ng Northeast Monsoon o Amihan sa maraming bahagi ng bansa.
“The shift of wind direction from northeasterly to easterly due to the establishment of the High Pressure Area (HPA) over the Northwestern Pacific signifies the termination of the Northeast Monsoon over most parts of the country and the start of the dry season,” pahayag ng PAGASA.
Subalit, binanggit ng PAGASA na maaari pa ring makaranas ang extreme Northern Luzon ng occasional northeasterly winds.
“With this development, the day-to-day weather across the country will gradually become warmer, though isolated thunderstorms are also likely to occur,” dagdag ng PAGASA.
Dahil dito, pinayuhan ng PAGASA ang publiko na mag-ingat sa heat stress at uminom ng maraming tubig araw-araw.
Anang PAGASA, patuloy nitong babantayan ang weather at climatic conditions maging posibleng epekto ng mga ito. RNT/SA
