MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ni Vice President Sara Duterte na gusto niyang makita ang mga ebidensya mula sa parehong prosekusyon at depensa na iharap sa impeachment trial.
Sinabi ni Sara Duterte na natuwa ang kanyang ama na si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte matapos ideklara ng Korte Suprema na labag sa konstitusyon ang mga kasong impeachment na isinampa laban sa kanya.
“Sinabi niya sa kanyang abogado na mag-relax daw siya for one day. Hindi daw siya mag-meetings at hindi siya mag-physical therapy dahil gusto niyang i-enjoy yung moment na nanalo yung kaso sa Supreme Court,” ayon sa bise presidente.
Hinamon ni Senador Erwin Tulfo nitong Miyerkules si Sara na isiwalat ang lahat ng mga dokumento sa paggamit ng pampublikong pondo bilang bise presidente at dating kalihim ng Department of Education kung talagang inosente siya.
“I wanted all the pieces of evidence from the prosecution and all the pieces of evidence from the defense presented for everyone. But unfortunately, that will not happen for now. And of course, as I’ve said, we must prepare for what may possibly happen next,” ani Duterte.
“So possibly in 2026, 2027, or 2028, someone would again file an impeachment complaint – and that will be another opportunity to answer,” dagdag niya.
Isa si Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero sa 19 na senador na bumoto para i-archive ang impeachment case. Sa kanyang eksplanayon ukol kanyang boto, tanong din niya: “…I ask this simple question, Mr. President, are you truly for accountability or simply anti-Duterte?”
Nang tanungin sa kanyang komento tungkol sa pahayag ni Escudero, sinabi ng bise presidente: “Just because they are pro-yellow, pro-pink, or they are Marcos loyalists, many individuals see former President Rodrigo Duterte as a foe, by deduction they also see me as an enemy. So they label all Duterte’s as one Duterte.” RNT/MND
