MANILA, Philippines – Ipinroklama na bilang bagong alkalde ng Naga City si dating Vice President Leni Robredo.
Si Robredo ay idineklarang panalo sa mahigit 84,000 na boto.
“Kagagaling lang namin sa pinakamatinding baha so kailangan namin ayusin yung mga infrastructure na makakatulong sa amin para maging resilient,” sinabi ni Robredo sa panayam ng GMA News.
“Gusto namin maging pinakamagaling sa education, health, gusto namin tutukan iyong environment kasi ang lugar namin prone sa calamities…pero at the core of it kasi, good governance e,” dagdag pa niya.
“We want to strengthen the mechanisms that are already attainable because we saw an erosion of this [good governance] in the last few years. The lesson really here is the fight for good governance is really continuing. It should not be stagnant,” pagpapatuloy ni Robredo.
Aniya, mahalaga rin na institutionalized ang good governance upang makapasok ang mga bagong lider.
“Magiging big kami on metrics. Lahat sinusukat. Aside from making our city a happy place for Nagueños, we want to initiate projects replicable all over the country,” dagdag ni Robredo. RNT/JGC
