MANILA, Philippines – Nakamit ng Boracay Water, isang operating unit ng Manila Water Non-East Zone at concessionaire ng Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), ang Excellent performance rating sa CY 2025 Proficiency Testing Scheme ng Department of Health (DOH) para sa Water Microbiological Testing Laboratories.
Ayon sa DOH–National Reference Laboratory, ang taunang pagsusuri ay tinitiyak na ang mga accredited drinking water laboratories sa bansa ay sumusunod sa mahigpit na pamantayan sa microbiological testing.
Matagumpay na nakapasa ang Boracay Water sa lahat ng evaluated parameters, kabilang ang Total Coliform, Fecal Coliform, at Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC), gamit ang Multiple Tube Fermentation, Enzyme Substrate Coliform Test, at Pour Plate Method.
Noong Pebrero, dumaan din ang laboratory sa surprise annual inspection ng DOH Region VI Regulation, Licensing, and Enforcement Division at napanatili ang Class C accreditation nang walang nakitang violation.
Saklaw ng inspeksyon ang physicochemical parameters tulad ng pH, Total Dissolved Solids, Turbidity, Residual Chlorine, at Nitrate, na kinakailangan ng mahigpit na pagsusuri upang masiguro ang pagsunod sa Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.
