“Contrary to what others may be thinking, this is not in any way a tool to suppress their expressions or opinions on certain issues. Our take being members of the 19th Congress is to establish certain rules or best practices, isang polisiya or framework na kung saan ay hindi magamit ang social media platforms for spreading fake news or espousing disinformation, misinformation or mal-information,”paliwanag ni Barbers.
“We don’t mind even if you do that 24 hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year, that’s all right. But please be careful with what you post on line, because if these are found to be fake, lies or falsehoods, then there are laws that can be used to penalize those who have abused the freedom of expression,” giit pa ni Barbers.
