MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan ng Supreme Court (SC) En Banc ang Rule on Family Mediation (Rule) na layon mapaigting ang kahusayan ng mga family courts,mabawasan ang backlogs sa mga korte at maiangat ang interes ng bawat bata.
“This initiative aims to address the emerging need for family mediation, both domestic and international, enhance the efficiency of family courts, reduce court backlogs, and promote the best interests of the child. The Rule also introduces innovations in dealing with family cases.”
Ang rule on family mediation ay isang proseso kung saan ang mediator ang nagsasaayos ng problema ng mga pamilya at tumurulong para magkaroonng maayos at boluntaryong kasunduan.
“Family mediation, a non-adversarial process, should include children and give them a chance to share their thoughts on issues that impact them. The process must focus on what is best for the child and the family.”
Sakop ng Rule ang problema ng mga mag-asawa,
magulang at mga anak, mga kapatid, mga kaanak hanggang fourth civil degree of consanguinity, at partido sa common-law, dating o sexual relationship.
