MANILA, Philippines- Lumapag ang Philippine Air Force C295 aircraft na may kargang relief goods na tanggal ang gulong nitong Biyernes sa Basco, Batanes, ayon sa PAF.
Naganap ang insidente ng alas-3 ng hapon paglapag ng aircraft sa Basco Airport, ayon sa PAF.
Naghahatid ang eroplano na umalis sa Manila ng family food packs para sa Office of Civil Defense nang makaranas ito ng “detached nose landing gear tire during its landing,” ayon kay Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla.
Wala namang nasaktan sa nasabing insidente.
Nagsasagawa na ng imbestigasyon ang PAF at AFP.
“The PAF assures the public that despite this incident, our commitment and selfless duty to conduct rescue and relief operations in Batanes and all other typhoon-affected areas will continue by all other means,” pahayag ng Air Force.
“The AFP assures the public of continued delivery of essential supplies to affected communities. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident, and steps will be taken to ensure the safety and efficiency of future operations. Updates will be provided as the situation develops,” wika naman ni Padilla. RNT/SA
