MANILA, Philippines – Halos 3,000 barangay sa buong bansa ang binalaan sa banta ng landslide at pagbaha dahil sa malalakas at tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan dahil sa Habagat.
Hanggang nitong Martes ng gabi, Agosto 18, sinabi ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) na karamihan sa 2,930 landslide- at flood-prone barangays ay matatagpuan sa Luzon.

“Based on the latest DOST-PAGASA 72-hour rainfall forecast, residents in listed areas and those nearby or downstream are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions,” sinabi ng MGB nitong Miyerkules, Agosto 19.
Patuloy naman na nakakaapekto sa malaking bahagi ng bansa ang Habagat. Namataan din sa loob ng Philippine Area of Responsibility ang Tropical Depression Neneng. RNT/JGC
