MANILA, Philippines- Nagpapatupad ang Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA) ng mas mahigpit na security protocols sa Senado sa gitna ng “banta” sa Facebook, base kay Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. nitong Miyerkules.
“May nagpost ng threat sa Senate Facebook page yesterday morning. Most likely by a prankster since nagpost din kung saan saan ‘yung ‘account.’ But OSAA implemented security protocols per SOP (standard operating procedure) starting yesterday just to be sure,” pahayag ni Bantug sa isang text message.
Kinumpirma ito ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero nang tanungin ukol sa nasabing “banta.”
“Yes, through the Senate’s social media account. While it was not considered as a credible and serious threat, the OSAA is nevertheless taking the necessary precautions,” wika ni Escudero.
Hindi binanggit ng Senate officials ang detalye ng nasabing banta na naka-post sa Facebook page nito.
Makikita sa official Facebook page ng Senado ang komento ng isang social media user kung saan nakasaad na: “MAYROONG BOMBA JAN ANUMAN ARAW O ORAS MAAARING SUMABOG JAN SA PWESTO NYO ACTIONAN N’YO ITONG SINASABI KO KAUAPIN NINYO AKO NG PERSONAL NG MALAMAN NINYO KUNG BAKIT.”
Mayroong mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police-Pasay City sa labas ng Senado at may mahabang pila para sa inspeksyon bago makapasok sa gusali.RNT/SA
