MANILA, Philippines- Pansamantalang tinanggal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang ilang “features” ng official Facebook page nito “to deny trolls a platform for their suspicious activities.”
Base sa AFP, nilalayon din nitong pigilan ang “coordinated attempt” ng trolls upang magpakalat ng “disinformation.”
“Troll farms are a menace to society, and we choose not to empower inauthentic actors in their coordinated attempt to spread disinformation and malinformation,” pahayag ng AFP nitong Miyerkules ng gabi.
“We understand that legitimate followers will be affected by this temporary move. We extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and ask for your patience. We hope for your continued understanding and support,” dagdag nito.
Gayundin, hinimok ng AFP ang publiko na iulat ang mga malisyosong aktibidad online at “to receive information from reputable sources only.”
“Statements, releases, and information on our activities will continue to be posted on our official channels and legitimate media organizations,” wika nito. RNT/SA
