MANILA, Philippines – Handa ang mga pulis na magpatupad ng warrant of arrest para sa mga personalidad na umano’y sangkot sa flood control scandal sa pagpapalabas ng mga kaukulang korte, sinabi ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Biyernes.
Nakipagpulong ang PNP sa Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno sa isang command conference noong Miyerkules para “align strategies” sa imbestigasyon ng administrasyon sa mga maanomalyang proyektong pang-imprastraktura.
“Once cases have been formally filed against subject individuals and arrest warrants are issued by the proper courts, [Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio] Nartatez [Jr.] emphasized that police officers are ready to enforce them immediately to fulfill the government’s promise of swift justice,” pahayag ng PNP.
Ang pahayag ng law enforcement agency ay matapos na ipangako ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ang mga personalidad sa iskandalo ay ikukulong bago matapos ang taon.
Nauna nang ipinaliwanag ng PNP na ang tungkulin nito sa imbestigasyon ay magbigay ng “technical support in the areas of engineering verification, forensic validation and information systems development.”
“We will be extending all the necessary assistance to inspect and validate all questionable infrastructure projects, and in ensuring airtight cases against those involved,” binigyang-diin ni Nartatez.
Ayon kay Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon, hindi bababa sa 40 katao ang mapabilang sa unang batch ng mga personalidad na mananagot sa umano’y anomalya. RNT/MND
