Manila, Philippines – Kung matatandaan, naging kontrobersyal ang pangalan ng dating GMA artist at Miss Eco Philippines (Miss World 2019) at Miss Eco International 2021 1st Runner 2021 na si Kelly Day nang na-link ang kanyang pangalan kay Tom Rodriguez.
Diumano’y siya raw ang third party sa kontrobersiyal na hiwalayan nina Tom at ni Carla Abellana.
Ano ang totoo sa istorya?
“Hindi totoo na ako ang dahilan sa hiwalayan nina Tom and Carla. Tom is not my type.
“It started like this. This was so random kasi kumakanta ako sa nu’n sa UK (United Kingdom) sa funeral ng lola ko.
“Then hindi ko alam na sa TikTok, nag-viral na pala ang isyu na nali-link ako kay Tom dahil sa blind item ni Cristy Fermin.
“That time, hindi ko kilala si Cristy pero I heard na may reputation siya na maraming cases.
“Anyway, there was no other person that fits the blind item but me.
“I did my statement kasi nga, marami ang nag-message sa akin for interview and i didn’t do any interview because I knew that the truth will always prevail.
“That time, no one stood up for me, neither Tom
nor Carla.
“Eventually pumayag ako when I got back sa Philippines,” pag-explain niya.
Nu’ng time na na-link si Kelly kay Tom ay may boyfriend siya nu’n.
“My boyfriend was laughing hard kasi alam niya na hindi totoo.
“Si Tom, kasama ko sa isang GMA series pero most of my scenes, ang kasama ko, si Alden (Richards).
“Sa totoo lang, Tom reached out to me and said slorry. Sabi niya, sorry we can’t defend you publicly,” diin pa niya.
Nag-explain din si Kelly sa paulit-ulit niyang sinasabi na hindi niya type si Tom.
“I dont think na papasa si Tom sa akin. I guess iba ang type ko. He’s not really my type.
“Si Tom is a good looking guy but my type is different. Usually shorter guys.
“I mean, Tom is hot, but I am more attracted sa mga cute guys,” sabi pa ni Kelly.
Aminado si Kelly na na-frustrate siya sa isyu sa kanila ni Tom, “kasi I don’t involve myself in married people.”
Nagkakilala na ba sila ni Carla?
“Carla, yes, we beso with each other.
“When I met Carla in an event, I was hosting and judge siya, sinabi ko sa kanya na I have nothing to do with Tom.”
FYI ay nasa GMA si Kelly from year 2018 to 2021.
“Hindi na ako nag-renew due to personal things.”
Inamin ni Kelly na meron siyang kakaibang sakit.
“I have a rare condition na ‘yung nerve ko, nagiging very sensitive.
“We were in the hospital nu’n 24/7.
“GBS ‘yung sakit ko. That is what it is called.
“It’s panic diaorder and OCD. It took me like a year and a half para pagalingin ito and I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t go to the mall and I coudn’t do shopping.
“After 10 months I did a 3 minute drive and I was crying.
“I was so scared to go anywhere.
“Sa panic disorder, you have the fear of panic attacks. Para siyang viscious cycle thoughts. “Cognitive behavior therapy, ‘yun ang ginagawa ko.
“Kasi I am predicting that sonething will happen pero in reality wala naman.
“I have my meds with me and pag wala yun, nagpa-panic ako.
“More than a year din ‘yun when I just disappeared sa showbiz.
“Nu’ng nag-pageant ako, wala naman akong ganyan.
“It can get triggered kapag ang adrenalin ko mataas, then it will just drop.
“Year 2021 nu’n and marami ang nangyari that I did not talk about. Then lock-in taping,” mahaba niyang kwento tungkol sa kanyang sakit.
For a year, wala na raw siyang severe attack. “Slowly I relearned.”
May possibility naman na sumali pa siya ulit sa pageant.
“27 years old na ako. Puwede pa ako sa Binibini.
With my new management, 3:16 media production under Mama Len Carillo, we plan to venture into movies.
“Ready na ako magpa-sexy pero hindi pang-Vivamax.
“Personally I would prefer not to do Vivamax at this point.
“Kissing scene is okay naman.
“Kaya kong mag-backless. Kung magbibihis ako okay lang pero sa love scene, hindi okay.
“May boyfriend ako now pero he’s very supportive and I just want to keep the purity of our relationship kaya let’s keep him private.
“Hindi naman siya showbiz pero nasa business siya. Magti-three years na kami,” sabi pa niya.
May pananaw din si Kelly sa mga pagbabago sa international pageant gaya ng pagsali ng mga transgender sa Ms. U.
“I’m not pushing in allowing transgendet into a women’s pageant.
“I have a strong stand sa sports, ‘di ba theres an ongoing issue regarding transgender and a woman in a sport?
“The genetics of a man and a woman are so different kaya unfair sa mga tunay na babae.
“Im not transphobic. But for competition sake, there should be a line drawn.”
Sa huli ay inamin din ni Kelly na naging jowa rin niya si Inigo Pascual.
“6 months kami ni Inigo.
“It started when nag-tweet si Inigo, sabi niya this is my crush.
“Sobrang bait niya. Pinakilala niya rin kay Tito Piolo. But Piolo is not my type.
