MANILA, Philippines – Bumaba ng 46% ang crime rate sa Metro Manila mula Mayo 1 hanggang 15, 2025, kumpara sa kaparehong panahon noong nakaraang taon, sinabi ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) nitong Biyernes, Mayo 16.
“Despite the heightened demands of election duties, NCRPO personnel remained steadfast in carrying out police operations, checkpoint activities, and anti-criminality campaigns,” saad sa pahayag ng NCRPO.
“Their relentless efforts brought down the total number of recorded incidents from 287 in 2024 to just 155 this year,” dagdag pa.
Ayon sa NCRPO,sakop nito ang walong focus crimes kabilang ang murder, homicide, physical injuries, rape, robbery, theft, at carnapping.
Naitala ng NCRPO ang pagbaba sa lahat ng focus crimes.
“Rape cases saw the sharpest drop at 76%, followed by physical injuries at 50%, murder at 38%, and homicide at 43%,” anang ahensya.
“Robbery and theft also decreased by 39% and 37%, respectively, while carnapping of motor vehicles dropped by 100% and motorcycles by 13%,” dagdag pa.
“Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) remained consistently high at 90.97%, while Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) rose from 67.60% to 76.13%, reflecting an 8.53% increase,” dagdag pa ng NCRPO. RNT/JGC
