MANILA, Philippines – Kinumpirma ni Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson nitong Martes ang pagkakaroon ng P100 bilyon na insertion sa 2025 General Appropriations Act, ngunit sinabing ang mga kickback na nauugnay sa mga insertion na ito ay tinanggap umano ng mga indibidwal na “nagmisrepresenta” kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sa pagsasalita sa marathon plenary deliberations ng Senado sa panukalang 2026 funds, binanggit ni Lacson sa publiko ang dalawang nagbitiw na indibidwal: Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Undersecretary Adrian Carlos Bersamin at Education Undersecretary Trygve Olaivar.
“’Yung statement na ginawa ni ex-Congressman Zaldy Co na nagbintang siya na P100 billion na sinasabi niya na utos daw ng Pangulo na isingit sa bicam. Your honor and I both know that the P100 billion—and I know that both of us went through the list independently or separately, and you and I agree na totoo ang listahan ng P100 billion [at] talagang naisingit sa Bicam,” saad ni Lacson.
“But yung sinasabi ni Zaldy Co on social media as posted na nag deliver siya ng P25 billion representing the 25 percent commission di umano para kay presidente, that I will attest na hindi totoo. Yun talaga, absolutely untrue or completely false,” dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Lacson, nakatanggap siya ng impormasyon mula sa kampo ni dating Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo na may mga tao sa Malacañang, na hindi awtorisado ng Pangulo, na niloko siya.
“I will name some of them: Undersecretary Adrian Bersamin. He name-dropped the President, making Zaldy Co believe na utos na ipasok ng Pangulo na ipasok sa bicam yung insertions na P100 billion. Now, Usec. Trygve Olaivar…. other personalities,” ayon kay Lacson. RNT/MND
