MANILA, Philippines – Namataan ang lava effusion sa Bulkang Mayon sa pagpapatuloy ng effusive eruption nito sa ika-35 sunod na araw.
Ibinahagi ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) ang time-lapse video mula 10:14 ng gabi hanggang 10:20 ng gabi na nagpapakita ng lava effusion sa summit crater.
Ang effusive eruption ng Bulkang Mayon ay gumawa rin ng incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) o “uson,” at rockfall.
“Lava flows have reached radial distances from the crater of ~3.77km in the Basud (east), ~1.59km in the Bonga (southeast), and ~1.34km in the Mi-isi Gullies (south) as of 05 February 2026,” dagdag ng PHIVOLCS.
