MANILA, Philippines- Handang tanggapin ni senatorial candidate Vicente “Tito” Sotto III ang Senate presidency sa 20th Congress kung susuportahan siya ng mga kasamahan.
Si Sotto ang Senate president mula May 2018 hanggang pagtatapos ng kanyang second term bilang senador noong 2022.
“If I have the necessary number I will accept,” ani Sotto nang tanungin kung muli niyang susubukang maging lider ng Senado, pwestong hinawakan niya sa 18th Congress.
“[I] will make sure the budget of government is used correctly. I will exercise oversight on previous laws authored and introduce new legislation” dagdag ni Sotto nang tanungin ukol sa plano niya sa 20th Congress bilang mambabatas.
“I am deeply grateful to the Lord our God for being with me as I weathered the challenges of this election,” aniya pa. RNT/SA
